About Near Mint Games
Near Mint Games is a trading card game store at 4023 W Irving Park in Chicago. We buy, sell and trade cards for the games people in the neighborhood actually play, and we list our stock online so you can check what is on the shelf before you visit.
What we sell
Most of the catalogue is Pokémon cards, Magic: The Gathering cards and Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, from vintage singles to sealed booster boxes. Smaller games such as Dragon Ball Super and Force of Will have their own sections, and the supplies aisle covers sleeves, binders, deck boxes and playmats.
Buying your cards
When you want to sell, the card buylist shows what we pay before you make the trip. Prices assume the condition stated on each listing, so it helps to compare your cards with our card condition standards first.
How we write news
Our card game news covers set releases, prerelease weekends and product launches for the games we stock. Articles are led by our lead writer David Anderson, a Pokémon collector for nearly 25 years, and each one is checked against the publisher's own announcement or an established trade source. Those sources are listed at the end of every article, along with the publication date.
You can follow the store on Facebook, Instagram and X for new arrivals and release day updates.
When a date or price changes after publication, we update the article rather than leaving old information in place. Nothing on the site is sponsored, and no publisher pays to be covered.
Store policies and contact
Ordering, shipping and returns follow the Near Mint Games store policies. For anything else, including corrections to a news article, you can contact the store directly.
